Meet your new favorite sangria for summer! This white peach sangria recipe is loaded with fresh fruit and a crisp sauvignon blanc wine for the perfect refreshing and easy white peach sangria recipe for summer.
After a hot summer day out working in the garden or hanging at the beach, there is nothing better than winding down with a cold glass of sangria. I have always loved any drinks that are loaded with fresh fruit, but sangria is one of those drinks that just screams summer — who else is with me?
Even though sangrias are traditionally made using red wine, I personally love the cool and refreshing flavor of this white peach sangria recipe on a really hot summer day. Especially when peaches and nectarines are in season, there is honestly nothing better in my opinion that a big pitcher of white summer sangria.
White Peach Sangria Recipe
Sangria originated in Spain and is typically made using a Spanish Tempranillo wine, but throughout the centuries has spread throughout Italy, France, England, and Mexico and now is a deeply intrenched part of many food cultures around the world. It is often made using a mix of fresh fruit, red wine, sugar or juice, and brandy — but as far as I am concerned there really is no one “right” way to make sangria.
Today you will find so many variations from white, to red, to rosé to blends of different wines and liquors that prove that there really isn’t one “right” way to make sangria, and it certainly doesn’t have to be complicated. Personally, I think that the best sangria is an easy sangria recipe that you can whip up in a few minutes with your friends over and enjoy without a lot of prep work.
This easy white peach sangria recipe is super simple to whip up, which makes it perfect for last minute entertaining or when you just feel like something a little more special to cool down with.
The Best Wine For This White Peach Sangria Recipe
While the “best” wine for this white peach sangria recipe is going to be subjective and dependent on what kind of wine you tend to gravitate towards, these are a few grape varieties that you really can’t go wrong with:
- Sauvignon Blanc
- Vinho Verde
- Riesling (dry)
- Rosé (I personally love Pinot Noir Rosé)
- Pinot Grigio
- Chardonnay
While I know that it is tempting to buy a cheap giant bottle of white wine for your white peach sangria recipe (and many recipes may recommend that you find the cheapest option my possible), my advice is to not skimp on the quality of wine you are choosing. Your white peach sangria recipe is really only going to be as good as the wine you make it with, unless you are going for an overly sugary adult “juice”, which really isn’t sangria anymore.
While yes you will be adding additional flavorings, the wine should still be the main attraction and the fruit and other flavors you add should really be there to compliment it.

How To Make This Easy White Peach Sangria Recipe
Making sangria really is super simple. All you need to do is chop up your fruit into nice bite size pieces and combine all your ingredients together in a big pitcher. Sangria gets better with time so ideally you want to make it a few hours ahead of when you will be serving (or even better let it sit overnight), but I can tell you for a fact that the other weekend I made this sangria just with friends over and moments later served it and it still was delicious.
To get started making your sangria just follow the following simple steps:
Step One:
Chop your fresh fruit into small, bite-size pieces
Step Two:
Next, take a large pitcher and add your wine and fruit and stir to combine well.
Step Three:
At this point, using a long wooden spoon slightly smash some of the fruit to release the juices and encourage that fruity sangria flavor.
Step Four:
Next, add your liquor of choice and juice (optional)
Step Five:
Refrigerate the sangria for 3-4 hours or overnight if possible.
Step Six:
If storing overnight, save some fruit to chop fresh right before serving for a nicer presentation.
Step Seven:
Make sure to stir well and serve over ice with a slice of fruit or a sprinkle of fresh berries onto for garnish.
Once you get the hang of making this easy sangria recipe in the summertime, I promise that it will quickly become one of your favorite choices to whip up for summer parties with friends and family, or enjoy after a long day out in the sun.
